We all knew that being exposed to the sun makes you age prematurely, but seeing the dramatic difference in a single face is just stunning. … As the summer starts, this is a perfect reminder of the negative effects of excessive suntanning. Places I no longer eat at/shop at because of their contributions to anti-gay rights organizations

-Chick-fil-a, gives money to many anti-gay rights organizations including Focus on the Family, Exodus International as well as the Family Research Council.

-Urban Outfitters, which also means Free People and Anthropologie because they are all owned by the same company. Co-founder/CEO Richard Hayne openly opposes gay rights and he gave $13,000 to Rick Santorum’s campaign. This is confusing to some people because Glen Henk, the CEO of Urban Outfitters Inc. is an openly gay man. However, Hayne is still the chairman of the company.

-Best Buy, gave $100,000 dollars to Tom Emmer who is a socially conservative gubernatorial candidate who opposes gay marriage and wants to ban abortion entirely as well as uphold a pharmacists right to deny contraception.

It’s so sad that this information is not exposed as it should be. I think this would really effect many people’s purchases, possibly causing the company to change their stance.

Have you seen most of the plus-size sections out there? It’s horrifying. Whoever’s designing for plus-size doesn’t get it. The entire garment needs to be reconceived. You can’t just take a size 8 and make it larger. In my travels, I’ve been an advocate for larger women. I’ve been talking to designers, but only a half-dozen make an effort. Most say, ‘I don’t want a woman who’s a size 10 or 11 wearing my clothes.’ Well, shame on you! It’s not realistic. We need to address real women with real needs.
